Formed on the 5th May 1992, we have maintained a steady growth and are pleased of how successful Specials Lighting has become today. Originally formed by 3 Directors from larger organisations operating within the lighting industry, we decided the lack of service and care that existed in larger companies could be greatly improved with a hands on more personable approach.
With a clear vision to offer not only quality in terms of products and range, we also wanted Specials Lighting to become a company that Architects, Engineers and Contractors wanted to deal with.

Welcome to John, our new Sales Engineer
We are pleased to welcome to Specials Lighting our new Sales Engineer, Mr John Bowden. John has many years experience within the commercial Lighting and Building Controls environment and we very much look forward to welcoming him as part of our team.
John first began his career at an early age working in theatrical and event lighting. In 2004 he worked for the very well known ‘Ministry of Sound’ night club providing fantastic lighting to over 1500 clubbers. Since 2006, John has worked for 5 years in commercial lighting and 5 years in commercial lighting controls. He has expert knowledge of DALI lighting controls and DALI LED lighting in commercial and education spaces, his hard working, customer focused and solutions driven. All these skills attracted us to him.
We know he will work hard to get projects delivered on time, on budget and we know our clients are just going to love him!
